Grain-Oriented Silicon Steel and Non-Oriented Silicon Steel

S

ilicon steel includes oriented magnetic steel (GO) and non-oriented magnetic steel (NO). GO steel has excellent properties such as high magnetism and low loss. It is mainly used for transformers, transformers, contributing greatly to improving the efficiency of machinery. NO steel is a silicon iron alloy with very low carbon content, and its grains are unevenly oriented in the steel plate after deformation and annealing. With low loss, NO steel is widely used in the field of making motor cores, generators… Depending on customer needs such as requirements for Max loss, insulation coating, packaging specifications, … we will advise the most suitable products, and are ready to meet the materials specified by customers.

Application

GO - NO Silicon Steel Application

Oriented magnetic silicon steel (GO)

mainly used in rectifiers, transformers, reactors and large motors, used to manufacture various electrical equipment, transformers, iron cores...

Non-oriented magnetic silicon steel (NO)

Mainly used in large-sized energy-saving motors and new energy vehicles...

Product Description

Oriented magnetic silicon steel (GO): The core loss value shall be specified at 50Hz or 60Hz and 1.7T. Grain-oriented electrical steel is an indispensable soft magnetic material in the electrical industry, mainly used in transformers, rectifiers, reactors, large motors and other industries.

Non-oriented magnetic silicon steel (NO): The core loss values shall be specified at 50Hz or 60Hz and at each 1.0T or 1.5T, but not both. Unless otherwise specified, each grade supplied shall have a core loss value at 50Hz and 1.5T. NO steel is the core material of motor and generator rotors operating in rotating magnetic fields, requiring good magnetic properties and processing performance. With the development of miniaturization and high-speed motors, higher performance requirements have been placed on non-oriented silicon steel, such as low iron loss and high magnetic induction at high frequencies.
